[Photo/VCG] Beijing authorities have released an ambitious plan of cutting the days of heavy pollution by at least a quarter by 2020 by increasing green transportation and reducing dust. The capital plans to reduce the average concentration of PM 2.5 particulate matter that poses health dangers in its urban areas to 52 microgram per cubic meter by 2020. The plans for rural areas differs with the density lower at 46 mg per cu m in three districts and higher at 55 mg per cu m in two, according to the plan. In 2017, the average PM 2.5 density in the whole city stood at 58 mg per cu m. Beijing had 46 days with heavy air pollution in 2015. To achieve the goals, the authorities plan to increase cargo transported by trains to 10 percent from the current 2.9 percent and more than double the number of new energy vehicles to 400,000. The capital also vows to enhance law enforcement against polluting diesel-powered trucks and to inspect at least 1.5 million of such vehicles every year. custom bar bracelet

Couples are most likely to divorce after 2 to 7 years of marriage and 14.86 percent of couples seeking to split file for divorce due to domestic violence, according to a big data report from China's top court.The Supreme People's Court released on Thursday a special report on divorce and alimony disputes, which analyzes cases settled at their first trial in 2016 and 2017 around the nation.It finds that financial support is the main claim in alimony cases.The report shows that 73.4 percent of divorce cases in the past two years were brought to court by women. Most were couples whose age difference was between 0 to 3 years.Geographically, South China's Guangdong province, Southwest China's Guizhou province and South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region are the top 3 areas where divorce involving domestic violence occurred. Among those who sued for divorce due to domestic violence, 91.43 percent of these cases were brought against the husband by the wife. Domestic violence often take the forms of beating and insults.The share of the cases involving only one spouse who wants a break-up is 91.09 percent, and 65.81 percent of cases ended up with a ruling that denied granting a divorce.As to alimony cases, 85.5 percent of cases involved a plaintiff in poor in health or in strained financial circumstances.Of the cases involving parents seeking financial support from their children, 98.2 percent involved natural born children; 1.15 percent involved adoptive parents and their adopted children and 0.21 percent of cases were among siblings. Most defendants are sons and daughters. Cases with claims for financial support concerned 95.93 percent of the claims, which include alimony payments, medical fees and nursing fees.
